With the high-volume of attendees and risk to injury from the nature of the sport, the ZIMS system gave me peace of mind when dealing with the safety and management of the event. Entering incident information made it easier for us to follow-up with our MoD mandatory requirements and simple things like Daily News and event programme changes were also used by us within the ZIMS app. Having the ability to produce a report of the event will also come in handy for incident statistics and checking our current Risk Management plan to propose any future changes are pleased to be working with the ZIMS team.

I instigated the use of ZIMS for the first time at Luton Carnival to overcome a number of historical issues. It is fair to say it was a huge success with those who used it embracing it immediately. As an App, it is simple to use and will undoubtedly replace all the various ‘WhattsApp’ and similar groups that have sprung up on event sites over the last few years. To be able to circulate missing person details and photos to all site users in seconds is a huge bonus. The big prize though is the tracking feature, especially to be able to give reassurance that positions are covered and, to deploy the most appropriate and local response teams to incidents. This could be an end to Ghosting!

The introduction of ZIMS has been a real game changer for us at Harlequins. The system is so easy to use and has been quickly adopted by the operational team including those technophobes! It has improved match day operations by enabling quick reporting and visibility of outstanding issues, along with all staff notifications which have proved really useful. We are also using it for non-match days to have oversight of responses to facility issues – another great tool which will make us more efficient as an organisation. Throughout all of this the ZIMS team have been hugely supportive and worked with the team to make sure we are using the system to its best ability.

We are pleased to be working with the ZIMS team. We are always looking for ways to improve our operational delivery on events and ZIMS brings a host of functionality that focuses on communication and staff engagement from all teams on all service delivery levels. With real-time reporting it allows our key managers to make well-informed decisions that have a positive impact on customer service and event safety, that we hope our customers see in the experience they receive when attending the venue.

We bought ZIMS after seeing it in action at Luton International Carnival 2019 and at the Ashes Test match at Edgbaston last summer. We were really impressed with the various features of ZIMS, especially the way that all aspects of an event/incident are logged, ready for reporting post-event. We also liked the fact that we can restrict what different users can see – so that the overall picture can be maintained by the control room, and individual users are not bombarded with constant information.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Greg and Lloyd for many years and am delighted to see that ZIMS, their innovative, user friendly and operationally practical system is up and running. I am sure that the benefits this system can bring to any operational event are evident to anyone with responsibility for safety and security at events. Greg and Lloyd have the highest levels of integrity, honesty and openness and are totally client focussed. I am looking forward to working alongside them again at the Cricket World Cup 2019.

I was the Gold Commander for the Luton Carnival 2018 and made use of the Crowd Tension Indicator to report on tensions in and around the event for the benefit of police and partners when assessing risk. I further saw the ZIMS System being deployed and this is the first time we have achieved absolute shared situational awareness across all stakeholders with realtime event information being shared directly from the site into the Silver and Gold operations rooms.
